Position SummaryThe Senior Marketing Account Manager is responsible for spearheading the development of cohesive communication and presentation materials for Public Strategies and the clients we serve. This position requires extensive knowledge to connect and engage audiences with innovative, empathetic, and purpose-driven campaigns to achieve the desired outcome(s).The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a proven track record of developing creative, impactful concepts aligned with client objectives and thoughtfully attuned to the needs of our program participants and other audiences.Essential Job FunctionsCollaborate with senior management, account managers, and clients on the development of strategic, brand-centered marketing initiatives for PS and its clientsResearch innovative styles and techniques that are appropriate for delivering impactful and relevant messaging to diverse target audiencesBuild consensus and trust at all levels of the organization, as well as with clients and vendorsUnderstand lean process improvement and how to leverage it to create better outcomesFoster a culture of teamwork, excellence, and respectRemain flexible to new or changing projects, systems, roles, and/or technologyPrioritize, organize, and maintain a balanced workload among the team in a fast-paced and evolving environmentLeverage persuasive presentation skills for diverse audiencesApply meticulous attention to detail and foster similar attention among team membersPractice empathetic leadership that focuses on curiosity over judgementDemonstrate strong knowledge of workflow management software such as JiraDevelop effective marketing strategies to achieve client objectives, working with the team to brainstorm, conceptualize, and execute thoughtful campaignsEnsure the appropriate tone, style, and voice are applied across various clients, projects, and audiencesEngage in training and technical assistance strategies to consult on communication and marketing practicesContribute to quality writing and content management across PS and client projectsManage quality control, including proofing, reviewing, and measuring creative output and processesServe as a corporate thought leader, infusing best practices into PS operations and cultureEngage in continuous learning; evaluate and implement new marketing communication technologies and help keep the department informed and current with industry trendsOptimize processes, systems, and communications to improve workflow and productivity by promoting strong team communication, coordination, and integrationBuild and manage the PS marketing and communication brand, enhancing its reputation through the development of award-winning submissions in relevant competitionsIdentify and support the pursuit of new business opportunities, including writing and producing proposals and presentationsSupport teammates and a congenial, collaborative cultureRepresent PS at public meetings and functions as requiredOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/TrainingBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English or a related field, requiredMaster's Degree, preferred

ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of marketing and communications experience with progressive managerial responsibilities with a wide range of clientsExperience leading internal teams, elevating and inspiring team members, and fostering open collaboration and independent thinking to achieve strong resultsProven ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines with frequent interruptions and shifting prioritiesPast experience in cause marketing or in building value propositionsExperience writing thoughtful content for a wide range of mediums and audiencesExperienced at presenting to C-suite level executives with the ability handle constructive criticism and act upon others' ideasHuman-centered design experience preferred
