Position Summary:This Senior Graphic Designer will be part of a creative services in-house team and will help to lead the design and creative direction efforts. The creative team develops a variety of print and internal / external marketing collateral for the retail industry. All creative efforts are coordinated with the client to maintain the integrity of the approved designs and themes. The Senior Graphic Designer must be passionate about design, consumer trends and be forward-thinking looking for new and innovate ways to deliver ideas to our client.Responsibilities:Work is typically performed under no supervision, with only guidance about overall goals and objectives. Usually receive minimal to no guidance about how to complete work objectives. Must be able to define work based on evaluation of short term and long-term goals of the department. Able to independently evaluate processes, identify areas of improvement, and incorporate in to overall work objectives.Collaborate and work in tandem with the Art Director, Sr. Art Directors and Associate Creative Director to execute 3,000+ creative projects per year.

Drive/Grow relationships with all levels of the leadership team in a fast-paced environment, eager to tackle every project no matter how large or small, leveraging design to translate complex retail solutions.

Follows projects throughout all stages of print production and/or online deployment.

Interact regularly with client, creative partners and other team members as needed for completion of assigned projects.

Understand client's design needs and methodology.

Interpret marketing ideas and turn them into visual reality at a world-class level.

Strong conceptual and strategic thinking that can be leveraged in a variety of business platforms.

Effective communication with peers, senior management and client across all topics from team/people management, business to creative.

Ability to listen, contribute and execute work aligning with client's creative brief.

Asks questions, seeks answers and solutions for project assignments.

Strong communicator

Assist in training junior staff members.

Qualifications

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor's degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 7+ years of relevant work experience at an agency, corporate in-house agency or design firm.

Able to apply broad work experience and knowledge when analyzing complex problems.

Must be able to consistently identify critical elements, variables and alternatives to develop solutions.

Organize and prioritize existing resources and incorporate new information to implement the most effective solutions.

Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate when solving problems.

Possess an impactful portfolio of imaginative work across multiple business channels including corporate/industrial branding, collateral, POS/POP, retail, packaging and B2B/B2C campaigns.

Well versed on Macintosh platform (OSX) and industry standard applications: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, MS Office and Photoshop. Must be highly proficient in CS3 Design software and beyond and other applicable programs.

Train junior level designers and production artists in the use of tools and/or systems for their role.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to listen for understanding to execute the work according to the client's needs.

Strong understanding of messaging impact to the organization or customer.

Capable of writing with clarity and precision necessary for project expectations and work performed.

Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $62,800 - $111400/year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
