Robert Graham has retail presence in more than a dozen countries around the world and has showrooms located in New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Dusseldorf.

Designer

What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world’s most famous and well-loved fashion brands? As a designer for Centric Brands, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means working not only with our technical design and production teams, but also building collaborative relationships with outside vendors and other external stakeholders. The challenges are exciting and the possibilities endless – as you contribute your skills in a vibrant, customer- and people-centric culture that celebrates you as a valuable member of the team.

Specific Responsibilities Would IncludeThe Assistant Technical Designer will provide support to the Director of Technical Design with the day-to-day operations of the Fit & Spec Dept. Working in our offices on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Check in samples of various stages (Protos, Fit, SMS, PPs, TOPs).

Line up samples in order of priorities for processing.

Process samples by measuring accurately and expeditiously.

Check for fit & balance of those samples on the dress-form or a real person, if and when needed.

Communicate fit & spec comments with factories. Provide technical solutions if and when needed.

Compile sets of specific specs for new seasons, based on Tech Packs submitted.

Revise specs occasionally to improve fit and to accommodate fabric types.

Prep garments for live-fittings on fit models.

Take notes and pics during fittings.

Compile fit notes with accompanying pics for further sample evaluations.

Keep a library of samples for reference and construction.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

Strong understanding of garment constructions and techniques.

Pattern-making skills

Fluency with understanding and discussing fractional measurements

Detail orientated with the ability to remain organized and work well in a fast paced environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Proficiency in Adobe Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop.

Knowledge of pattern-making software products is desirable (Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, Browzwear, Clo3D, Tukatech, etc.)

Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Design.

1-2 years of relevant experience.

Salary Range: $25.00-30.00/ per hour

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
