We're redefining sustainability, advancing zero-emissions solutions, and driving the electric vehicle revolution.It takes the best to build the best - join us!Primary Purpose:Under minimal supervision, performs the review, processing and recording of a variety of gas hard copy and digital geographic and tabular data in support of Gas GIS Services department operations. Organizes and executes the entry and maintenance of data in a variety of company systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:Under minimal supervision, performs the review, processing and recording of a variety of gas hard copy and digital geographic and tabular data.Organizes and executes the entry and maintenance of data in a variety of company systems such as Geographic Information System (GIS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Document Management System (DMS), and manual files.Assists with GIS technical duties including, spatial data creation, data entry and update, creation of basic graphics and maps in support of the gas enterprise GIS data.Assists in monitoring, evaluating, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures.Establishes and maintains GIS accuracy and mapping standards to meet safety and reliability requirements.Participates on special projects to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes.Performs other duties as assigned, including on-call support (no more than 5% of duties).

Hybrid Schedule:Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow the employee to work onsite three days per week and remotely on the remaining workdays.Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.

Required Qualifications:H.S. Diploma/GEDBachelor's Degree Geography, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or related field or equivalent work experience.1 Year A minimum of 1 year experience in GIS data processing, knowledge of SDGE work practices, or gas construction standards specifically related to gas distribution and transmission data.Proficient at applying Gas GIS Services operational standards.Knowledgeable of gas transmission and distribution requirements.Able to quality check engineering and construction as-built documents for accuracy and completeness.Working knowledge of Esri suite of products to enter, edit and output geographic information.Working knowledge of supporting software; SAP, Adobe, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.Proficient in the use of hardware; Windows workstations, scanners, digitizers, large format plotters, office printers.Must be able to organize and perform tasks under time constraints and deadlines, accomplish project tasks in cooperation with other employees.Must be able to apply knowledge of the principles and practices of effective customer service.Good verbal and written communication skills required.Employees in this position must have reliable transportation.
