The work we do in Digital is a strategic imperative, and there is a strong and growing understanding of how together we will transform Mass General Brigham in innovative and impactful ways.The Platform Developer designs, develops, tests, and supports low-code business applications using various Software as a Service(SAAS) cloud services to integrate with a variety of other internal systems and services.Principal Duties* Works with project team of users and analysts to develop technical requests ensuring design will integrate with current systems.* Develops project technical work plan and enforces adherence.* Collaborates with other Digital staff (Operations, Network Services, etc.) to provide inter-disciplinary technical solutions.* Assists developers and analysts in coding, testing, implementing, and maintaining systems for low-code/scripting business applications using multiple Software as a Service(SAAS) cloud offerings to integrate with a variety of other internal systems and services.* Writes and organizes internal documentation for developed solutions.* Maintains integrity of applications by routinely running data checks and analyzing errors and imbalances. Works to identify causes and prevent further occurrences.* Works with vendors and application teams, and other DPX staff to develop core infrastructure technologies and frameworks, using best practices, that are highly scalable, stable, and performant.* Participates in team's on call rotation to triage and resolve incoming issues as necessary. On call rotation requires 24x7 availability for one week and potentially similar availability during the backup on call week.* Use/s the Mass General Brigham values to govern decisions, actions, and behaviors. Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.* Ability to translate business need into technical specification and set realistic goals for the completion of said needs.* Stay updated on emerging industry technologies and trends.* Ability to work and be flexible within a complex work environment with competing priorities.* Ability to assume a high level of responsibility.* Ability to take a project from conception through to deployment and support.* Experience calling REST APIs using JavaScript or other programming language.* Conceptional knowledge of Conversational and Generative AI.* Understanding of CDP concepts a plus, specifically CIAM and Preference Management.* Familiar with tools like Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Azure Dev Ops, and SharePoint is desired.* Experience with Agile, Scrum or CMMI software development methodologies is desired.* Experience with GIT, Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD systems a plus.Skills and Abilities for Success* Understanding of distributed web application development concepts and object-oriented programming.* Exposure to systems analysis, application design and testing.
