About the RoleDevelopment and execution of marketing plan and budget for shopping center. Includes but not limited to managing marketing events and promotions, securing advertising and sponsorship income, website and social media management, corporate reporting, tenant and community relations.

This position must be able to work all shifts and all days of the week including weekends and overtime when required. The Marketing Manager supports the General Manager and the Administrative positions when necessary.

ResponsibilitiesGeneral MarketingDevelopment of the annual budget and marketing plan for the property based upon the center's strategic goals with ongoing monitoring, monthly re-forecasting and adjustments as needed to meet year-end projections.Maintain thorough knowledge of the center trade area, market trends and area competition, keeping abreast of any changes.Effectively utilize market and consumer research to develop the center's marketing plan and support the leasing efforts.Complete special assignments as directed by the General Manager and/or Regional Marketing Manager.Negotiate and execute contracts with vendors for best price, product, and service.Preparation of monthly marketing report and other reporting as requested.Support the leasing efforts by compiling relevant information and creating professional, compelling sales materials.Develop and secure ancillary income opportunities by generating additional revenue for the property through advertising and sponsorships.

Event Planning/ExecutionDevelop and effectively execute sales promotions, community events and internal and external communication strategies to drive tenant sales. Programs must be targeted and measurable.Review monthly sales reports to ensure a thorough knowledge of retailer sales; track key retailer and category trends.Follow corporate policies and procedures for all programs and events.Create property programming with the goal of creating a property-wide sense of inclusion and community.Acts as an ambassador, including maintaining a welcoming presence in public spaces when requested and during events.Promote and engage tenants to participate in center programming.

Advertising/Traditional + DigitalEffectively manage the center's digital media programs (social media, mobile, web) as applicable via in-house or contracted account.Center Collateral - Supervise the production of all collateral and promotional materials including, but not limited to, directories, posters, press kits, letterhead/business cards, event brochures, and flyers.Maintain a thorough knowledge of the trade area including all competitive properties, market and customer demographics and available media.Analysis of sales and statistical data, financial reporting, public relations, media buying, traditional and digital media management, program results documentation and general marketing administrative duties.

Community/Tenant RelationsEstablish an ongoing partnership with tenants to maximize individual store sales through retailer communications/sales promotions/visual merchandising, especially with tenants identified as "key retailers."Serve as the marketing liaison between the local community business leaders, the property and the client.

PublicityDevelop an ongoing public relations action plan as needed; send out press releases; track publicity.

Preferred QualificationsEducation: 4-year Bachelor's Degree, Marketing or related field.Minimum of 6-7 years of experience as a marketing manager/director. Shopping center management experience preferred.Proven track record in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns and initiatives.Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a marketing program.Exceptional high level communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a deep understanding of market trends and customer insights.Proficient in digital marketing strategies and tactics, including social media, content marketing, and SEO.Experience in brand management and awareness.Proficient in market research and analysis to identify target markets and customer segments.Knowledge of marketing automation tools and CRM systems.Strong project management skills to oversee multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously.Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and work with cross-functional teams.Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving measurable goals and driving ROI from marketing efforts.
