JMT is seeking an Interior Designer in the Quantico, VA area for an exciting opportunity to work with the federal government. This position provides interior design assistance for design and construction projects using knowledge of design principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate and execute.Essential skills and responsibilitiesExperience performing as a consultant in the establishment of space and furniture design standards and criteria for construction projects.Experience providing on-site field survey measurements and verification.Experience preparing space and stacking plans.Experience in construction document development, finish selection and space planning/programmingExperience with computer-assisted design software such as Revit, and Sketch Up
Required Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Proficient written and verbal communication skillsStrong work ethic. Willing to do what it takes to get the job doneAbility to work independently as well as part of a team
Required Experience
US Government Secret security clearanceBachelor's degree in Interior Design10 years' experience as Interior Designer in commercial/government office building design and construction
Preferred ExperienceUS Government Top Secret security clearance.Interior Design license.Experience working with governmental agencies at the federal, city, county and state levels
Working ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
