Primary Location:Salt Lake City, Utah

Marketing Coordinator:Executes corporate and local marketing strategies through individual effort and facilitation of local selling teams in all phases of marketing and sales activity in an assigned territory by performing the following duties.Works as member of corporate Marketing Management Team to develop and execute corporate marketing and sales programs at the field level to support business objectives. Such programs will include, but not limited to product sampling; incentives and promotions; planning, organizing, and executing supplier activities; pricing programs and training for local sales teams.Develops and evaluates brand growth programs for presentation by the local sales teams and personally to existing and potential new customers (cold calls) in assigned territory, corporate advertising activity and promotional programs, including incentives, for assigned products and makes recommendations to improve effectiveness to achieve volume and margin goals.Develops and executes customized programs for assigned markets and products designed to improve sales of existing customers and gain new accounts.Analyzes effectiveness of sales and marketing programs, including brand development, point of sale execution, and pricing strategies at the field level and acts with local sales teams to ensure execution consistent with corporate strategies to grow sales volume and corporate profits.Builds relationships with Sales Center management, sales teams, and suppliers and corporate managers to achieve business objectives in both office and social environment.Creates, maintains, and distributes Merchandising Standards for assigned market areas.Ensures claims for reimbursement from parent companies for promotional activities are received.Gathers data and creates marketing and sales performance reports for management.Performs Public Relations functions as they relate to products and promotions.Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must travel as required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.COMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts and basic math functions.REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESProficient in basic computer skills, including data retrieval from host computer and personal computer software applications for work processing, spreadsheets, and presentation. Must possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively establish rapport and promote a positive business image with customers, sales centers, and suppliers. Must also be available to work extended and non-traditional hours.
