Summary of PositionThe Integrated Marketing Director for the College of Health and Human Services is a visionary integrated marketing expert who leads omni-channel marketing efforts on behalf of the college. The position is part of UNH's centralized team of integrated marketing directors, with colleagues in equivalent positions serving as the marketing leads for each academic college and major business unit.

The leader in this position will serve as a member of the CHHS Executive Leadership Team, serving as its dedicated marketing expert and as its advocate with UNH's in-house marketing agency for college priorities. The director may manage a budget provided by the college.

The director will partner with a broad cross-functional group of college staff, centralized marketing colleagues, as well as agency partners, to achieve excellence in target audience engagement, content development, media placement, data insights, competitor benchmarking and more on behalf of the college.

In close consultation with CHHS leadership (dean and associate deans) and respective unit partners (i.e. enrollment, advancement, research, etc.), the director will conceive, prepare and operationalize a college-specific marketing strategy and provide an annual analysis of its effectiveness. The college strategy will integrate with overall strategies for the UNH brand and for major areas of marketing emphasis such as student recruitment and retention, and advancement.

This position will apply best practices and UNH brand standards to all media produced by CHHS. The director will also ensure that news, features, research and other items from the college are appropriately represented in UNH's major communications channels.

Major goals of the role include growing enrollments in the college's undergraduate and graduate programs and bolstering its reputation as the leading public research university in nursing and allied health in Northern New England.

This position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Integrated Marketing with a dotted line to the Dean for CHHS.

Other minimum qualificationsBachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, business or related field.At least seven years of experience leading communications, branding, marketing or related functions in a complex organization including, but not limited to demonstrated experience developing, socializing, and executing a marketing strategy.Excellent written, oral communication skills.Ability to make high-level decisions and provide marketing advice and communications counsel to colleagues and direct the work of staff and external consultants.Mastery of integrated marketing strategies and tactics across print, digital, and broadcast marketing and communication channels. Job DutiesDuty/ResponsibilityMarketing Strategy:

In partnership with college leadership, develop, present, and execute audience-centric annual marketing plans with clear measures for success that contribute to revenue and other pre-determined success metrics.Leverage working knowledge of the audience, health care industry, higher education industry, and relevant competitive space, alongside brand and UNH knowledge to continually identify, develop and execute initiatives that make audiences think, feel and act in ways that are beneficial to UNH.Stay current on relevant allied health and nursing, health and social care policy, and health equity topics and issues that should be integrated into marketing efforts.Thoroughly understand the brand equity and develop campaigns, creative, and placement (i.e. traditional media, paid digital, earned media, etc.) that fully align and strengthen positioning.

Duty/ResponsibilityLeadership:

Collaborate with the Dean and her/his designates as a strategic partner in developing and implementing marketing strategies for the college and its programs and centers.Fully partner and collaborate with college communications leadership, support alignment in marcom efforts, and support the development of policies and processes to ensure compliance with branding standards.Collaborate with others to ensure consistency across channels and areas of expertise, share best practices, and jointly develop processes, tools, and ways of working to continuously optimize.Lead regular status update meetings with college stakeholders and others to show impact of effort and facilitate alignment with UNH-wide goals/campaigns. Provide consultation to ensure efforts ladder back to overarching integrated marketing plans.Participate in College Director-level meetings as requested by dean.

Write, review, edit and provide all other forms of input and feedback for communications and events related to the college.Oversee the college's web and social media presence, advertising and a suite of printed and digital communications for the purposes of recruitment, alumni and external engagement, and research.Oversee the design and delivery of major college-wide events that contribute to advancing the brand and raising the visibility of the college.

Duty/ResponsibilityResource and Brand Ambassador:

Be the trusted expert for the unit's market research, key metrics and proactively report progress, learnings and indicated actions to senior leaders within central Marketing, unit and others routinely.Continuously analyze performance of marketing plans (ie. campaigns and always-on activities), reporting results and adjusting initiatives as necessary to drive efficiency and effectiveness.Stay up-to-date and inform fellow team members of the latest intelligence about the College.Research best practices across industries and share and inspire creative, content and placement ideas.
