Our client, the world's leading search engine and technology company, is seeking a UX Writer. This is a 3 month + contract and hybrid remote position located in San Francisco, CA.
Summary:We strive to delight users & build tools that help them get the most out of their editing, organization & storage and other premium client services through subscriptions.At the client photos, our mission is to be the home for all your photos and videos, organized and brought to life, so you can share and save what matters.We're taking the work out of storing, managing, sharing, and reliving your memories.Our mission is to be one membership that unlocks premium experiences that help our most engaged and loyal users get the most out of the client.Doing this requires a deep knowledge of our diverse users, how they interact with our product, and their expectations to ensure they feel equitably treated and included in their experiences with our product.UX writers are an important part of our cross-functional team and in shaping our client photos narrative and user experience.What makes this job unique?This an exciting opportunity to influence a beloved client product that aims to store, organize, and help you share and consume a lifetime of memories, as well as the opportunity to influence our global strategy and experience for subscriber growth (esp. Responsibilities:
Manage and prioritize multiple projects and stakeholders across client photos to meet aggressive deadlines.Write clear and concise UI for client photos experiences.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, research, product and eng) to define and align on requirements.Proactively solicit feedback and ensure changes are implemented in a timely manner.Ensure consistent experience across client photos and partner onramps, uphold UXW standards and guidelines.Create A11y and localization documentation for assigned projects.Provide copywriting/editing support to Photos UXW, as needed.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience as a UX writer, tech writer, content strategist or similar.BA/BS degree in English, communications, HCI, journalism, a writing-intensive humanities discipline, or equivalent practical experience.Portfolio of UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines.Experience working in hardware, software, digital agency, customer support documentation, or related field.Familiarity with web and mobile UI design principles and practices.Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent writing and editing skills for a broad range of audiences.Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills; ability to find the right balance between process and flexibility.Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.Self-driven with ability to work independently.Experience working with user research, data, and customer feedback; ability to synthesize these into specific content choices as well as a broader content strategy.Experience with localization practices and accessibility.Experience writing content for a digital subscription product and/or onboarding andeducating users for digital products.Basic knowledge of a design tool like Figma or Sketch.Familiarity with online UX writing technology and related products, including web and mobile UI and tools.
Pay rate range:
$77.26 - $101.11 hourly
