Position Overview:The Station Communications Manager plays an important, matrixed, role on the Station Services team, providing professional-level support to department Directors across teams. The incumbent collaborates on the creation of a range of turnkey marketing tools, trainings, and resources, as well as promoting appropriate use among stations.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Execute station communication and engagement strategies in support of station-focused priorities, including e-communications to stations about broadcast and streaming announcements, product releases, and fundraising priorities.

Provide strong customer service to member stations by answering or directing their questions related to General Audience and PBS KIDS Programming and Engagement.

Support PBS member station use of programming in local outreach and impactful engagement, including management of the PBS Screener Request form.

Collaborate on communication and engagement strategies to deliver engagement materials and best practices to stations in support of Station Services.

Oversee the GA, Product & Digital, Kids, and Fundraising newsletters and the GA Programming presence on the Hub.

Support the Director, Programming Engagement as co-liaison to the Programming Advisory Council, conducting administrative tasks for the planning and execution of monthly meetings, the annual summit, quarterly Office Hours, in addition to the execution of materials related to their outreach network.

Provide communications support to members of the Station Services department including, Grant Managers, the PBS KIDS Station Communications Team, Product & Innovation team, and the Fundraising team, acting as the connective tissue to align communications across teams where possible.

Advocate for all stations, ensuring that their needs are communicated throughout PBS.

Promote an environment of collaboration and inclusion, ensuring programs and projects are represented by a diverse group of voices.

Represent PBS at system meetings and conferences as assigned.

Requirements for success:3-5 years' experience experience in marketing communications, copy writing, or customer communications required.

Organized, proactive, resourceful, self-starter.

Microsoft Proficiency

Strong multi-tasking skills

Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
