Job Summary:The Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences is seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to join our team to serve our growing USDA plant within the MSABD (Meat Science and Animal Biologics Discovery) team and be on the front lines of implementing marketing initiatives. As the Marketing Manager, you will lead marketing strategy and projects for the USDA Meat Processing facility including developing and implementing marketing campaigns and working with other businesses to promote and sell products that are produced here. The primary role of this position would be to promote the USDA plant located on the UW-Madison campus

As a Marketing Manager, you will establish and maintain partner relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for marketing. This position will collaborate with subject matter experts in MSABD and specifically the Meat Processing facility including the Research Program Manager and the Retail Operations Manager of Varsity Meats. This position would attend trade shows and conferences and be actively involved in industry events. This position would enhance the social media presence and brand awareness of the products that the USDA plant produces. This position will also host campus events and tours all while being able to help educate customers.Responsibilities:Contributes to the development of marketing strategy and oversees implementation of marketing plans, projects, and campaigns. May supervise personnel within a work unit marketing team.25% Develops operational plans in support of marketing projects and campaigns including staffing and resource allocation, and oversees execution of operations that adhere to deadlines and budgets15% Segments audiences, identifies marketing opportunities, evaluates competition, integrates marketing tactics, and measures marketing program results35% Develops, edits, monitors, and provides feedback on content20% Oversees creative development and project management processes for marketing activities5% Video development for building tour support and presentations

Preferred- Experience in communications and marketing with the Animal, Meat or Food Industries.- Experience in digital marketing and paid media.- Experience with inbound and/or email marketing campaigns- Experience with creative development and marketing content/asset creation- Strong creativity and problem-solving skills- Strong data analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics/research and use of Excel- Experience creating and developing marketing videosWork Type:Full Time: 100%
