The comms team is responsible for managing and enhancing Charter's reputation and image through strategic communication with external stakeholders such as the media, customers, investors, and the general public. We develop and execute communication strategies, craft impactful messages, and coordinate media relations to effectively convey Charter's values, goals, and key initiatives.BE PART OF THE CONNECTIONAs a

Communications Manager , you will be instrumental in cultivating and nurturing relationships with consumer and trade media. Your primary responsibility will involve strategically placing Charter's information and stories in various news mediums. With a focus on enhancing consumer and industry perception, you will proactively identify opportunities to promote Charter's products and services. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and corporate communications, you will leverage your expertise to maximize media attention for Charter.WHAT OUR COMMUNICATIONS MANAGERS ENJOY MOSTCreating and implementing comprehensive communications strategies for Charter's corporate initiatives, including: marketing, diversity and inclusion, community investment, content acquisition, and human resources.Collaborating with other departments to generating media strategies and tracking results for new and existing initiatives.Pitching proactive coverage and also fielding press inquiries for corporate initiatives.Building and maintaining national and trade media lists.Monitoring traditional press and social media coverage, creating press summary reports, and assisting with the preparation and distribution of clips reports as needed.Establishing and cultivating strong working relationships with key trade and national media contacts.Injecting a "story-telling perspective" into Charter's communications strategy, particularly through finding and crafting stories that personalize and promote Charter's personality and positive traits through our employees.Researching communication possibilities for diverse media opportunities (e.g. print publications, websites, online and social media, etc.).Managing the corporate awards process for major trade press awards.Performing other duties as requested by Supervisor.As a valuable member of our communications team, your primary objective will be to effectively manage and enhance Charter's external interactions. With a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and timely responses, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining positive relationships with various stakeholders, including media and the general public.
