The Assistant Technical Designer will partner with the cross-functional team in developing product from initial concept through fit to production. This position will contribute in successfully translating the product design and style vision into a consistent fit and quality level through application of blocks, accurate specification packages, and assisting with fit session management. This role will support meeting overall product engineering, IMU, and quality goals within calendar deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the technical design process, including fit, patterns, grading, fabric, construction, and manufacturingParticipate in fit sessions, including taking detailed notes for others, photos, working on your own productAssist in sample processing and writing fit commentsUse PLM to create, update, and maintain accurate and complete specificationsBuild and use your knowledge of 2D and 3D software for pattern corrections and maintenancePartner with cross-functional teams to drive the development processMaintain daily communication with vendorsQualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, apparel production, or textiles with 1-2 years of relevant apparel industry experience preferredBasic knowledge of apparel fit, patterns, grading, fabric, construction, and manufacturingBasic knowledge of PLM, 2D, and 3D softwareStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesStrong prioritization and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
