Summary:

Centier Bank is looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful Special Events Marketing Intern to join our Marketing Department and provide event support to execute planned activities

as soon as possible through February 2025 . This position is responsible for working alongside the Event Marketing Specialist, whose job entails planning and executing all corporate, grand opening, business, and community events. Your contributions will help support our corporate culture values and "wow" clients (internal and external) with creative, innovative, and thoughtful event planning. This role will require up to 20 hours a week, with weekly reporting to the Centier Corporate Centre (or remote via Teams).

Travel to and from Merrillville, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and Lafayette (using a company vehicle) will be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform research and suggest ideas for managing large eventsExplore and help organize traffic flow, decorations, vendors, menus, etc.Assist in marketing and communication of events, including grand openings, community events, etc.Use business sense and creativity to brainstorm new ideas and solutions for events and exercises in experiential marketingStreamline processes, integrate, and associate information gathered from multiple sources to apply to marketing projectsAssist in vendor and service provider research; maintain professional and positive relationshipsAdhere to "first to arrive, last to leave" guideline to ensure all tasks are complete on event dayProactively troubleshoot arising issues and emerging problems leading up to and during the eventOther Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Special Events Marketing Intern, you will collaborate with our full team at all stages of development to organize and execute marketing initiatives.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Current enrollment in a related BS field of marketing, PR, events, communications, or related majorExperience in event planning or involvement in a student organizationAbility to travel and work non-traditional hours as required: The internship schedule may include some evening/weekend hours.*Please be prepared for occasional evening/weekend work as part of your role.
