Project Engineer II

The Opportunity:

As a Project Engineer, you will lead cross-functional teams in executing strategic product and process programs that align with Operations Leadership priorities. Your focus will be on cost reduction, design improvements, supply chain optimization, and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, detailing scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.Lead and coordinate project team meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.Monitor project progress and performance, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective measures.Prepare and present detailed project status reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting significant milestones and potential issues.Utilize design engineering tools (such as CAD, FMEA) to develop and assess design concepts.Ensure all design modifications adhere to relevant standards and regulations.Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance profitability.Collaborate with key business partners to lead projects using structured problem-solving methods to improve existing products and processes while eliminating waste.Drive and motivate cross-functional team performance to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with defined objectives.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, co-ops, and other technical personnel.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years of experience in technical project management (PMP preferred but not required) and/or design engineering.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Project, Word, and Excel.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.Preferred Skills:

A passion for driving improvements and leading change.Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as packaging, warehousing, machining, injection molding, and small to medium-scale product assembly.Experience working with remote teams, employees, and customers.Knowledge of the injection molding process and ability to troubleshoot plastic defects.Lean Six Sigma certification.Experience with business processes including stage-gated development, order entry, ERP systems, and change management systems.Experience with ISO 13485 & 9001, FDA, European, and MHLW requirements.Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, PTC Windchill, PTC Creo Parametric, and AutoCAD software.
