My client is a fast growing manufacturer of corrugated packaging, they are very family oriented with ample room for growth and high visibility to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a creative mindset, corrugate packaging design experience and ability to work closely with sales and production.

Job Description

Corrugate Design Development : Design and develop corrugated packaging solutions that meet the specific requirements of chemical products, including strength, durability, and safety.Material Expertise : Leverage deep knowledge of corrugated materials to select and optimize structures that balance protection, cost, and environmental impact.Prototyping and Testing : Create prototypes and conduct performance testing to ensure that the packaging withstands transportation and handling stresses while meeting regulatory requirements.Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all corrugated packaging designs comply with chemical labeling, transportation, and safety regulations, including hazardous materials guidelines.Collaboration : Partner with product development, production, and marketing teams to ensure that packaging aligns with product specifications and branding while enhancing the overall customer experience.Sustainability Initiatives : Integrate sustainable practices, such as using recycled materials or designing for recyclability, into corrugated packaging solutions.Cost Optimization : Develop cost-effective corrugated packaging designs without compromising on quality, protection, or regulatory compliance.Vendor Coordination : Work with external suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the accurate production and delivery of corrugated packaging materials.Innovation and Trend Analysis : Stay updated on trends and advancements in corrugate packaging, including new materials, manufacturing processes, and design techniques.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant

Education : Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.Experience : 3-5 years of experience in corrugate packaging design, preferably within the chemicals industry or a similar field.Technical Skills : Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD), understanding of corrugated materials and manufacturing processes, and knowledge of regulatory requirements for chemical packaging.Creativity and Innovation : Strong creative skills with the ability to develop innovative and effective corrugated packaging solutions.Detail-Oriented : High attention to detail, particularly regarding regulatory compliance and structural integrity.Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.Project Management : Ability to manage multiple design projects concurrently, from concept through production.

Target compensation for the Packaging Designer - Corrugate is $120,000 - $140,000.
