As a Product Portfolio Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to define and drive the AWS product portfolio positioning and marketing strategy. You will inspect and evolve our existing mechanisms for product development and go-to-market, create new mechanisms, and extend them to span the entire portfolio of AWS products and solutions.

This role calls for an individual who is proficient in continuous improvement. You will work with and influence numerous cross-functional stakeholder teams across AWS to identify gaps, streamline processes, and build mechanisms to help scale launch operations.

This role will sit in Seattle, WA only. Relocation offered from within the US.

Key job responsibilities

Work backwards from the customer to define AWS product portfolio positioning, activities, and milestones.

• Use data to drive decisions, and be able to exercise judgment while acting quickly.

• Identify gaps to implement or optimize cross-team processes that improve efficacy and delivery.

• Communicate effectively across stakeholders to notify them of project milestones, and process changes.

• Work at both the strategic and tactical level to champion bold and creative ideas

• Work effectively across AWS with groups such as engineering, digital marketing, sales, business development, and evangelists to achieve our joint business goals

About the team

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as technical marketing, technical pre-sales, consulting, training, or product marketing/management

5+ years demonstrated track record in crafting positioning and marketing content

A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field of study such as computer science OR 7+ years relevant industry experience in marketing of technical products

Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative technology products

Preferred Qualifications

MBA and/or computer science, engineering, technology background

5+ year’s experience in product marketing for services targeting end users

Experience with cloud and data center infrastructure technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $98,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
