PagerDuty is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Employee Communications to join our Communications team at PagerDuty. As a Senior Manager of Employee Communications you will lead and scale our employee communications programs, ensuring we effectively inform, engage, and inspire our employees while amplifying employee culture and values through a wide variety of communications vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity as you will be responsible for strategizing, building and executing company-wide communications initiatives. You will serve as a key partner to internal C-level client groups, including the CEO, to provide strategic oversight and operational support to craft the internal PagerDuty narrative. The company story, our values and progress against our goals must be crafted in impactful written and visual narratives. The overall story will come to life through internal company events, town halls, emails, Slacks, and videos that will inspire and galvanize employees to action. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal communications at a high growth, fast paced company, and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development and execution of proactive internal communications initiatives, programs, and events in collaboration with internal teams.

Company-Wide Communications: Have a strong grasp of our executive voices to manage all company-wide and manager-specific communications channels, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with company goals.

Town Hall & Major Events: Lead the content development and presentation design for our monthly Company Town Hall and other major internal events.

Employee Experience: Act as a strategic partner to internal teams, ensuring that communications contribute to a positive employee experience where everyone feels included, informed, and connected to our mission.

Cultural Stewardship: Serve as an ambassador for PagerDuty’s culture, infusing our mission, employer brand, and cultural values into all internal communications and initiatives.

Company Goals & Milestones: Inform and engage employees about the company's progress toward quarterly and annual goals.

Basic Qualifications:

8+ years of proven experience in creating and managing internal communications strategies in a corporate environment, with a track record of successfully engaging diverse employee audiences

5+ years of leading projects, collaborating across teams and driving cross-functional outcomes as well as coaching and mentoring others

Proven experience leading the development and execution of proactive internal communications initiatives, programs, and events in collaboration with internal teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Digital Media Expertise: Experience in developing video or digital content is a strong plus.

Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Google Suite and other communication tools is a plus.

Creativity & Adaptability: A creative thinker who can develop innovative communication solutions and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Organization: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated Exceptional writing, verbal, and listening skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.

The base salary range for this position is 142,000 - 221,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
