JOB DESCRIPTION

The Graphic Designer is responsible for print and web designs for venues and the creation of branding/marketing assets for digital, social media and other print material for the LA Kings organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Create advertisements, print materials, digital imaging, web graphics, marketing campaigns, and sales promotions that engage and retain audiences through visual assets, and interactive experiences based on strategies set by creative leadership.

Formulate design concepts, presentations, templates, layouts, merchandise, and GIFs from initial idea to final execution.

Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and execute creative initiatives.

Assist with strategizing and developing methods to increase fan engagement and brand awareness in all digital platforms.

Work closely with all departments to develop visuals that support organizational goals.

Package and deliver content for print and digital in a timely, relevant, and engaging manner and distribute as necessary.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The Graphic Designer must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:

Working knowledge of print technology, production, and ability to meet tight timelines

Proficient at Adobe CC; including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat

Excellent layout, color theory, and typography skills

Strong attention to detail and a pulse on current and trendy design styles

Demonstrate exceptional creative problem-solving skills, adapting to feedback and evolving project requirement

Exhibit expertise in print processes and deliver print-ready files

Ability to multi-task and turn projects around quickly

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, including responsibilities on game days

Highly organized with strong time management skills

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Ability to create motion graphics preferred

Availability to work hockey-based schedule: nights, weekends and holidays

Showcase a portfolio of previous design work to demonstrate experience and creativity

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:

BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Graphic Design, Entertainment, or related field

Experience:

A minimum of 2-4 years of related work experience

Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Procreate, and Figma is a plus

Email marketing and HTML experience preferred

Pay Scale: $67,000-$70,000
