The Cloud Marketing Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Applications organization at Microsoft leads commercial marketing efforts across our Data, AI and Digital App solutions. This Senior Product Marketing Manager role within the Analytics Marketing Go-To-Market (GTM) team will play a vital part in ensuring we continue to differentiate our solutions in the industry with programs, go-to-market strategies, and long-term marketing plans. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you’ll partner closely with engineering, sales, partners, business planning, and other teams to build messaging and programs, influence roadmap and execute go-to-market plans that drive adoption and business growth in a high-growth market segment.

We are looking for a product marketing and GTM leader who thrives on being challenged to bring marketing creativity, GTM discipline, organizational leadership, and clarity of vision. The outcome is to deliver products to market with innovative, compelling and world-wide scale execution.

The candidate will be a high impact and high accountability marketing professional with experience leading GTM or customer evidence and events strategy. The core accountability will be growing Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR) from Azure Databricks, Power BI, and emerging analytics products. The candidate will influence the GTM strategy and co-marketing execution of a set of strategic products utilizing skills such as market sizing, product/market needs analysis, solution marketing, creating clarity from ambiguity, partner marketing, delivering impact within a highly matrixed organization, and revenue marketing.

This is a highly visible role in a strategic and top-of-mind product category that will require working closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, product marketers, integrated marketing, subsidiary product leaders, specialist sellers, customer success teams, technology specialists, and partners. The candidate for this role will have demonstrated experience in product launch, taking products to market, authoring marketing plans, authoring solution narratives, creating customer evidence, creating events strategy, being a product advocate to customers and partners, data-driven decision making, and content development. You should be comfortable and able to create clarity from ambiguity, ready to take on multiple projects but prioritize accordingly for the right deliverables at the right time, be a creative writer and disciplined execution leader and thrive on goals. Demonstrated understanding of cloud technology, the analytics and governance market, elite communication skills (writing and speaking), and bias for mobilizing stakeholders are critical for success in this role. This role is customer-focused and you will be able to mobilize Microsoft stakeholder to deliver on core product and business promises on the way to delivering Microsoft business results.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business

OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business

OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business

OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

OR equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience in product marketing, Business-to-business (B2B) sales, engineering, or technology marketing roles preferred

Understanding of the analytics and data governance market preferred

Experience in a B2B marketing role focused on running marketing campaigns and demand generation

Demonstrated oral and written communications abilities, and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with technical and business leaders

Very experienced with project management and organization skills

Driven self-starter, eager to dive right in

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
