The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is looking for a Manager of Audience Insights to join their Analytics and Research team. This role is crucial for guiding their digital transformation by developing a comprehensive insights framework focused on audience strategy, content production, and product development. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and leader who collaborates with various departments, including the newsroom, marketing, customer service, and finance, to drive data-informed decisions, improve user experiences, and identify growth opportunities. The position also involves providing guidance on key audience, content, and product questions to support the organization's mission.

In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding our digital transformation journey. We are in search of a strategic thinker and visionary leader capable of establishing and overseeing a comprehensive insights framework that spans all facets of our business, with a primary emphasis on audience strategy, content production, and product development. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including newsroom, product and platforms, brand and growth marketing, customer service, and finance, you will drive data-informed decision-making processes, optimize user experiences, and capitalize on growth opportunities. Additionally, we are looking for a proactive individual who can provide guidance and direction to teams on effectively addressing critical questions about our audience, content and products, thereby propelling the AJC forward in its mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze content performance metrics to provide actionable insights on what resonates with our audience and recommend adjustments to optimize content strategies.Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards that provide real-time actionable insights into audience engagement and content performance.Utilize advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within large datasets.Work closely with data engineering, business intelligence, product development, and content teams to ensure that data-driven insights are integrated into all stages of content creation, distribution, and monetization.Conduct in-depth analysis of audience behaviors, product usage, and content preferences across various platforms such as web, mobile, audio, video, and social media.Act as a key point of contact for insights within the organization, effectively communicating complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.Collaborate closely with teams to translate findings into actionable strategies, influencing product roadmaps and feature prioritization to drive continuous improvement and innovation, ultimately increasing user satisfaction and retention.Conduct in-depth assessments to gauge the audience's propensity and willingness to invest in premium content and services, thereby informing strategic decisions regarding product offerings and revenue generation.Miniumum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year experience in a related field; or 18 years' experience in a related field1+ year of experience in management or lead roleStrong analytical skills with proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.Excellent communication and presentation skills to work effectively with teams throughout organizationFamiliarity with the media industry's data landscape, including audience measurement tools, content management systems, and digital marketing analytics.Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in related discipline strongly desired (market research, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred)5+ years of experience; 2+ years in a data or insights role within a media or digital organization with experience in a leadership role.

USD 97,100.00 - 161,800.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
