Your Role

As an Experience Designer at Gensler, you will tap into your boundless creativity to design unique experiences across a diverse media landscape. You are passionate about helping clients enhance their brand and business performance through strategy and design. What You Will DoWork with a multi-disciplinary team of architects and designers to design graphics, branded environments, signage and wayfinding solutions that connect people to place for diverse client projectsConduct research for organizational, cultural and physical context surrounding a project to develop project program, goals and visionGenerate multiple initial concepts and develop viable, documented design solutions that help solve a variety of problems for our clientsIntegrate messaging, color, imagery, type and composition into two and three-dimensional built environmentsDevelop presentation materials, present at client meetings, and assist with synthesizing client feedbackPrepare final documentation and production-ready artwork for 2D/3D, print, or digital applicationsTogether with Design Manager, support organizing project kick-off, oversee all project phases and fabrication/vendor coordinationDuring implementation review vendor shop drawings, samples, mockups and conduct on-site visits to review project progressCollaborate on project close-out process for file archiving and marketing purposeYour QualificationsBachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, environmental design, architecture, visual communication or related field5+ years professional experience in environmental graphic design, print/digital design, or similar studio experienceStrong verbal/written communication and organizational skillsFlexibility to work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales and typesAbility to create and present design strategies and conceptsAbility to assemble, coordinate and review design intent documents and production artworkKnowledge of material types, production capabilities and product details for 2D/3D, print or digital applicationsExpertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), CAD Tools and MS OfficeFamiliarity with architectural construction documents, scales, sections, plans and elevations; proficiency in drawing in scaleUse of SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D modeling programs a plusWorking knowledge of motion graphics software, digital video editing, or other skills related to designing for and creating dynamic content a plusDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required
