$8100 -$9200 /month. DOEResponsibilities:Develop and design a comprehensive set of icons for our design system, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and user needs.Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and developers to understand requirements and translate them into effective icon designs.Create and maintain a consistent visual language across icons and other design elements within the design system.Utilize Figma to design, prototype, and document icon assets and guidelines.Conduct design reviews and gather feedback to iterate and improve icon designs.Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in iconography and design systems.Required Skills:
Minimum 2 years in design system development with a focus on iconography and illustration videos.Work with graphics and design static imagesMinimum 2 years Proficiency in Figma and other design tools.Minimum 2 years Solid understanding of design principles, including consistency, scalability, and usability.Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and functional design solutions.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Requirements:2 to 4 years of experience in design system development with a focus on iconography and illustration.Strong portfolio showcasing icon design and illustration skills.Proficiency in Figma and other design toolsSolid understanding of design principles, including consistency, scalability, and usability.Years of Experience Required: 4-5 overall years of experience in the field.Degrees or certifications required: Associate's degree in design and/or certificate in graphic design required. Bachelor's degree in design or related field preferredDisqualifiers: Portfolio is not included in submission.Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain:Strong portfolio showcasing icon design and illustration skills.Ability to communicate well with the team and is a team playerPreviously worked at Microsoft on the Windows team.Candidate is local to Redmond, WA is a huge plus.Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines, quality of work, and great collaborator.Nice to have:
Experience working on design systems for large-scale applications or products.Familiarity with front-end development processes and principles.Knowledge of accessibility standards and how they apply to icon design.
