Job Summary

Develops and writes meaningful content for various audience groups in relation to donor stories, giving, alumni stories, and business partnerships. Collaborates with advancement directors, campus partners, and University Marketing & Communications to produce high-quality collateral for use. Assists with the strategy of communications within University Advancement to maximize constituent engagement, cultivation, and stewardship.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field.

8+ more years working as a writer, journalist, public relations specialist, or communications role.

Demonstrate excellent written, editorial, and oral communication skills for various mediums.

Preferred Qualifications

Evidence of communications planning and/or communications strategy.

Experience working in a higher education environment.

Knowledge of AP Style.

Experience in website content management system(s), email marketing tool(s) and/or Customer Relationship Management ( CRM ) system(s).

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Target Salary Range $70,000 - $75,000
