The RoleThe role will be based in our New York office where you will work on a wide variety of projects for commercial partners of Conde Nast - from editorial events to custom sponsored activations and branded content. Reporting to the Creative Director, Special Projects & Innovation, you will work as a part of a specialized creative team within the Conde Nast Commercial Creative organization, collaborating regularly with editorial stakeholders across Conde Nast's suite of brands.The successful candidate will have a passion for crafting innovative experiences - bringing imaginative ideas to the ways we conceive of and design events and activations (both physically and digitally). Your passion for visual storytelling, typography, and environmental design - alongside your ability to apply a distinct point of view - will help bring to life bold work for our commercial partners. You will be expected to maintain a smooth and efficient process across all projects while upholding Conde Nast's brand voices, creative standards and codes throughout.While the key focus of this role will be on experiential, the ideal candidate will be well-rounded and have demonstrated their multidimensional design expertise across a variety of industries (fashion, beauty, technology, luxury, automotive and travel). We are looking for someone who is an out-of-the-box thinker who can connect the dots culturally and deliver work that resonates.Individual & Team Responsibilities:Responsible for the creation of environmental and spatial design assets for experiential projects (including: rendered models, moodboards, floorplans, renderings, schematics, environmental graphics, signage, technical documentation, etc)

Support the Sr. Art Director, Experiential in establishing & ideating on the visual direction of commercial experiential projects and pitches.

Partner with other members of the creative team on the development of creative ideas under the direction of the creative director to deliver innovative ideas and designs for multi-channel campaigns for Conde Nast branded content and partnership activations (beyond experiential in print, web, social, and video).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams while creating visually compelling materials for presentations (conceptual overviews, moodboards, talent references, digital mock-ups, etc).

Recommend and work with outside production partners (animators, lighting designers, fabricators, etc) to deliver elevated and innovative experiential programs that suit advertisers and Conde Nast tone and brand styles.

Ensure Conde Nast Commercial Creative ideas authentically balance the voices of our editorial brands with those of our advertisers.

Maintain the quality of the creative execution of designs in production to ensure delivery to Conde Nast and client standards & expectations.

Nurture relationships with cross-functional teams and provide the appropriate commercial perspective when collaborating with editorial teams.

Contribute to a team culture of creative risk-taking and thinking outside the box.

- You prioritize diversity, inclusivity, and representation in every stage of the creative process and empathy in team collaboration.Essential Skills & Requirements3-5 years professional experience in experiential and graphic design in media, fashion brands, in-house, or creative agencies.

Strong visual presentation skills.

Ability to work in-office in NYC 3 days per week.

Excellent ability with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp (or other equivalent 3D modeling software), and Google Workspace.

Motion design, 3D, and basic video editing skills nice-to-have.

Extensive experience on site and with pre- and post-production processes for activations; adept at briefing creative teams and working with production companies.

Passion for and/or previous experience in industry categories relevant to Conde Nast's community and audiences: fashion, luxury, entertainment, beauty, travel, and technology.

A portfolio demonstrating a visually ambitious body of work that anchors experiential and activations within 360 creative campaigns (content and advertising).

Highly organized, and skilled with time-management and workload prioritization.

Passionate about brands, ideas, stories, design, and experiences with a strong cultural point of view and the ability to translate it into impactful brand campaigns.

Knowledge of new media and technology is a plus.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $62,500 - $91,500. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.For bonus-eligible roles only:
