About the Job:

Marketing Manager, Youth Engagement, Recruitment & Retention

is an energetic hands-on marketer accountable for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to generate participant registrations for our in-person and digital programs - including our weekly after school program, accelerated training program and speaker series.

This role's primary objectives are to promote the program and drive registrations through effective marketing campaigns, initiatives, and communication strategies. This role requires a creative and analytical mindset, with a strong focus on understanding target audiences and leveraging various marketing channels to achieve registration and participation goals. Primary focus is on new students with some additional focus on re-engaging Alumni for programming.

Key Responsibilities:Develop & Execute Marketing Strategies: Create comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to drive demand in registration for various programs. Utilize market research, industry trends, and participant feedback to inform strategy development for pre and post program communication.Communication Plans: In coordination with cross-functional teams, create a structured flow of information for prospects and registered participantsContent Development: Write and create compelling content tailored to engage and resonate with youth and YA audiences. This may include newsletter features, articles, social media content, website updates, and promotional materials.Marketing Campaigns: Plan, execute, and optimize marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, print, and events. Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and make data-driven decisions to improve effectiveness (includes search, google ads, paid and earned media). Research and be open to new platforms or ways to reach audiencePartner Marketing & Integration: Work with programs team and school and site partners to identify opportunities to promote program sign ups; tailor marketing to the partner and partner's audience.Audience Engagement: Outside of recruitment cycles, continually build brand excitement & future demand among youth & educator audience for getting involved with program. And/or with Alumni for continuing in program. This is both on and "off-season" comms focusing on generating and increasing excitement for the next program cycle.Measurement and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Generate regular reports on registration metrics, campaign performance, and ROI to inform decision-making and strategy refinement within budgetManage youth facing social media platforms including FB/IG/Snap/TikTok/Emerging Platforms for both recruitment and ongoing engagement commsResponsible for ongoing participant comms including Alumni and Fresh Friday news, utilizing Constant Contact, Text, Slack/DiscordFocus is on compelling copywriting; can outsource some design as needed for materials; should have strong ability to utilize photo and video library and resources; will work with the Director to develop strong branded materialsReports to the Director of Marketing working with them for overall brand, voice and messaging consistency and integration of their content into organizational website, eNews and other content; owns content calendar and Gantt chart for their work,May work to increase viewership of youth-created contentMay oversee 1-2 marketing interns

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fieldProven experience in events, enrollment or attendee marketing, with a track record of driving participant growth and engagement.

Note, we are not looking for someone to execute events, this role is marketing focused to drive # of registrants and participants.Nonprofit, Multicultural or Youth Marketing experience preferredStrong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships across departments and with program partnersExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create compelling content and messaging.Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including email marketing software, social media management tools, and analytics platforms.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing campaigns and initiatives.Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, working across different projects and initiatives simultaneouslyStrong relationship builder, influencer, and acts as an ambassador for Fresh FilmsPassion for Fresh Films' mission and core values with a passion for seeing young people succeedPrefer candidate is located in one of our major markets (Chicago, Quad Cities, LA, ATL or Boston)

Compensation

Salary range is $50,000-$57,000 based on experienceFull time, 40 hours weekly15 PTO days yearly10 paid holiday/days off each year, including the week between Christmas & New YearsHealth, dental, vision and life insurance403B plan starting in 2025

Work Environment:

Hybrid: Some in office or at Fresh Films program sites, and some from homeRequires travel minimum 2-days per month to FF headquarters in Quad CitiesRequires travel 8x per year (every 4-6 weeks) to program sites across country in Chicago, Quad Cities, LA, Atlanta, Boston or other regionsAll non-local travel paid for by Fresh Films
