Position SummaryWithin the UNM Health SciencesMarketing and Communications team, support clinical, academic and research missionswith compelling and creative graphic design. The individual must have aportfolio of previous work, be highly proficient in Adobe CC, tech-savvy andhave the ability to develop polished work that promotes the institution'svarious initiatives.

The Graphic Designer must havean ability to easily and quickly produce fresh, exciting and brand-compliantdesigns, illustrations, infographics and layouts for digital and print. Duties alsoinclude collaborating with others on the marketing and communications team oncontent to align layouts, imagery and messaging.

The ideal candidate is aself-starter who is enthusiastic, detail-oriented and eager to be a part of anintegrated marketing & communications team. This person is a committed teamplayer who can take direction and assignments from administrators, managers andfellow team members. They should be able to adjust and prioritize assignedprojects, as higher priority projects may come in unexpectedly. They have theability to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines. This individualhas a design/illustration portfolio (online preferred) and work experience thatwill highlight and promote creative skills and set them apart.

Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.Preferred Qualifications- Degree in graphic design,related field, or equivalent work experience.

- Experience working within ahealth system or university setting.

- 3-4 of the minimum 5 years ofexperience are in graphic design, advertising and/or marketing.

- Additional experience withinthe extended Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere XD, etc.) and motiongraphics preferred

-Excellent editing andproofreading skills, with a high attention to detail.

- Highly motivated andself-directed with strong organizational, communication and interpersonalskills.

- Additional technical skillswith Lightroom and digital photography is desirable.

- Maintain professionalismwhile multi-tasking and prioritizing various projects.
