Description

POSITION PURPOSEPromote awareness of brand image internally and externally.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssists with maintaining Social Media pages for the entities within the Westin/Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa property, including resorts, F&B Outlets, Spa, and events. Responsible for scheduling, editing, publishing and sharing content.Assists monitoring internet, social media pages, and referral platforms for company and brand reputation management.Supports promoting property events through social media sources.Uses metrics to measure the success of various marketing sources and tactics.Helping to determine need periods for our markets and the development of campaigns.Helping in overseeing projects with our PR, Social, and influencer agencies.Supports digital marketing with various campaigns and project based work.Follows all of the Safety and Sanitation Guidelines set forth by the CDC and GPR including but not limited to all of the COVID-19 State and County ordinancesMust be able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:Ability to be on-site and work at assigned location.Ability to work independently and in a group environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and team working skills.Proficient with social media and presentation software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and blogsProactive and action oriented with an attention to detailFamiliar with Marketing principlesUnderstanding and ability to leverage social media and digital platformsDevelop images, logos, layouts, and other designs by hand or using design softwareTesting graphics across various mediaPreferred Skills

The following skills are not necessary yet will greatly improve the strength of the individual:Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat.Graphic design and layout experienceSocial MediaQUALIFICATION STANDARDSEducation

High School diploma or equivalent required.Bachelors degree or actively pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or affiliate preferred.ExperienceGraphic design experienceExperience with marketing, social media, and/or PR is preferredLicenses or Certificates
