Location: Charlottesville, VA (Hybrid - 2-3 Days in Charlottesville office required per week)

We are seeking an organized and driven Marketing Manager to join our small, collaborative marketing team. Our primary function is supporting internal teams in their growth efforts as they deliver solutions to clients.

We play an integral role in supercharging Elder Research's growth by increasing brand awareness, further establishing our reputation, and providing business development colleagues with opportunities to engage with qualified prospects.

Summary of Position:

On our agile marketing team, you will balance ownership over strategic initiatives and collaboration with a team, providing you with valuable opportunities to grow your career. You will also tackle exciting problems in a wide variety of markets including B2B, B2C, and government contracting.

Your role will focus on conference/event management, email marketing, campaign planning, and project management, all aligned with Elder Research's marketing strategy.

The seniority of this role may be adapted based on the applicant's experience level.

Responsibilities:Collaborate with business leaders across the company to address their marketing and business development needs.Lead conference and event planning and execution within budget and goals.Create and implement event evaluation to determine the best allocation of team time and resources.Develop relationships with conference organizers to secure speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and content placement.Manage lead generation activities related to events.Maintain relationships with professional associations.Execute email marketing campaigns.Create and implement efficient processes and workflows for daily marketing tasks.Assist in planning integrated marketing campaigns.Other marketing and business development duties as assigned.Requirements:

5-10 years' experience in marketing, communications, or similar role.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.Proven experience in managing corporate events or industry conference participation.Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach.Proven ability to create organized processes that enhance efficiency.Experience leading projects that involve multiple colleagues from planning to completion.Skilled at translating strategic ideas into actionable campaigns.Confident self-starter with a willingness to challenge the status quo.Detail-oriented optimizer.Desired Skills:

Bachelor's degree highly preferredPrior experience in B2B marketing with a strong understanding of the current trends and techniques.Experience preparing people for public speaking opportunitiesAbility to build lasting relationships with stakeholders.Experience with marketing automation tools such as HubSpot.Familiarity with project management platforms such as Trello.Knowledge of data science, AI, and machine learning topics.
