Reporting directly to one of our Executive Creative Directors or Creative Directors, this position requires a background in architectural or industrial design. The position requires a portfolio showcasing demonstrated qualifications with a skill set capable of concepting and creating high-impact design solutions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

may include but are not limited to:Supports and contributes to the project team's executed design solution and deliverables for assigned projectsExecutes and delivers project-based solutions with speed and quality, while incorporating and maintaining direction and feedback from the project leadership teamContributes to client presentations and communications as assignedHand sketches, digitally renders, or illustrates solutions throughout a variety of Design Phases: Conceptual, Schematic, Design Development and Construction DocumentationUnderstands project deadlines and milestonesInterfaces directly with internal departments to learn and understand potential solutionsExudes a "go where needed' attitude and outlook on roleParticipates in process improvement and best practices within the departmentFocuses on learning and absorbing new information and knowledge from DI subject matter experts (design team members and support staff, DI team members, clients, etc.)Supports and contributes to the success of Design studio team membersKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Has strong proficiency in 3D and modeling software as well as digital or hand sketching abilities in order to optimally convey design conceptsAbility to learn new skills and software quicklyAbility to take direction and constructive critique wellAuthentic desire to be a team playerBe coachableDemonstrate progress in quality and design solution techniqueDemonstrate personal time management and multi-tasking skillsQuality control of design documentsIndependent thinking/solutions and autonomyPossess a developing knowledge of material and fabrication methods relevant to designEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Associate or Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.F.A) in Graphic Design, Visual Communications with an emphasis in Industrial Design, Interior Architecture or related field requiredAt least 2-3 years's experience in a professional design role requiredStrong proficiency in SketchUp requiredStrong proficiency and proven experience in design programs within the Creative Suite is required including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesignExperience and proficiency with rendering software (Revit, Enscape, Rhino Solidworks) a plusResearch skills (for storytelling) & digital or hand sketching abilities in order to convey design concepts strongly preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a salary (exempt) position.
