Founded in 1919 as Phototype, and recently rebranded as the Olberding Brand Family, we are a family company, focused first on caring for people. Our services begin in conceptual brand strategy and design, then flow through adaptive design all the way to the production of color accurate and regulatory/retailer compliant physical and digital touchpoints. The Senior Production Artist is responsible for converting and translating customer submitted artwork into a press compatible format. The Senior Production Artist maintains an effective and efficient workflow from the point the artwork is scheduled to the proof stage and maintains direct and open communication with internal client functions and the Olberding team to ensure the final art meets the clients' and printers' needs.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Adapt client's design intent files to final product graphic printed materialsDepict final production proofs for customer approvalSet-up of files for eComm VR (virtual reality) prototyping for consumer studies, across multiple platforms and for our in-house hand making prototyping labMaintain an effective comprehension of calibration, profiling and workflow proceduresProofread all workMentor junior team members on design/artworkAssist in the development and documentation of standard operating proceduresQualifications Include:
Strong Adobe Illustrator skillsProject management and organizational skillsKnowledge of major printing methods (Flexo, Gravure, Offset)Proficient use of Apple operating system including knowledge of business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FileMaker Pro and Acrobat)15+ years experience in packaging graphics, design and/or prepressConsumer product company knowledge or experienceGraphics production technology background or experience, a plusBenefits Include:
