Senior Technical Interior Designer

to help support the

Hospitality studio . DLR Group operates within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.

Position Summary:

As a Senior Technical Interior Designer at DLR Group, you will be responsible for leading Interior Design projects on budget and schedule while delivering design excellence. You will be responsible for collaborating on the design of complex projects from programming through construction administration, on projects ranging in size and complexity while providing hands-on supervision to design staff during all phases. You will partner with internal partner disciplines, vendors, and consultants as needed. If you are a collaborative thought leader with a strategic mindset this might be the position for you. The successful candidate will:

Prepare and develop drawings, models, materials, and other documents relating to the design.Serve as primary liaison with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.Actively manage project budgets, schedules, and programs, project communication and documentation, and project team assignments.Be responsible for the development of the design and the project with input from the Principal in Charge and/or the Design Leader for key project stages.Manage project schedule, budget, and cartoon set for project success.Determine and manage coordination of all technical project efforts to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.Required Qualifications:

8+ years of professional experience designing hospitality interior projectsBachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalentStrong creative design and drawing skills as well as graphic and oral presentation skillsIntimate familiarity with the interior design process and deliverables requiredProficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office suiteFamiliarity with FFE specification software and producing custom specificationsThe ability to travel occasionally to support project tasksAbility to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple officesAbility to manage teamsPreferred Qualifications:

Professional NCIDQ CertificationCan estimate project fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts.Has an interest in Healthy Materials and sustainable building design
