Job Summary:
At IGS, we integrate product designers within all phases of software development, from requirements development to product releases. We leverage a creative and collaborative design process of ideating, prototyping, and performing design QA alongside agile and lean techniques in each iteration.
As an IT intern, you would work directly with our team of Product Designers while also being embedded in a cross-function team of analysts, developers, product managers and testing staff, collectively striving to quickly deliver high-quality, high-value software for our end users. You will have the opportunity to provide value and delightful experiences to our end users with each iteration.
As a Product Design Intern, you will help deliver well-designed, highly usable and efficient experiences that are consistent with our Design System. Most often, this involves designing user interfaces, screens, and interaction flows using a process that iteratively factors in ideas and reactions from teammates and end users.
Primary Responsibilities:Collaborate with other Product Designers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts to define requirements for solutionsIteratively design user interfaces, experience flows, and prototypes (currently we use Figma) that offer value to end users while balancing engineering considerationsCollaborate with Engineering throughout development, updating designs to be consistent with delivered solutionsContribute to the enterprise Design System and other enterprise design tools as we strive to make it easier to build beautiful and consistent productsParticipate in Agile ceremonies such as stand ups, iteration planning, and retrospectivesAssist the Product Manager and team by developing visuals to communicate complex topicsDesired Skills:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, design certification, or equivalent work experience related to this roleStrong visual portfolio demonstrating experience in UX & UI designStrong competency with design and interactive design programs, preferably FigmaExcellent presentation and interpersonal soft skillsAbility to thrive in a driven, passionate, creative, and collaborative environmentExperience with User Interface Design, preferably for web or mobile applicationsExperience designing and building interactive prototypes, preferably FigmaStrong empathy, teamwork, and collaboration with end users and teammatesPositive attitude and motivation to deliver highest quality workSelf-organized and structured, with the ability to define your own tasksExceptional organizational skills, follow through, creativity, and multitasking abilitiesMinimum Education and Experience:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.Ability to thrive in a driven, passionate, creative, and collaborative environment
Salary Range:$31,200.00 - $52,000.00*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
