Mid-Level Architect/Designer

Light Space Architecture Office, a small craft-based contemporary residential architecture firm located in San Francisco, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to grow with us in the role of Mid-Level Architect/Designer. Our work is focused on creating simple and beautiful buildings that are conceptually clear and expressed with carefully considered detailing. We value practicality, innovation and sustainability and pay great attention to the effects of natural light within the spaces we design.

Qualified candidates should possess the following attributes & skills:
– Currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
– Hold a professional degree in architecture and a minimum of 5-8 years of residential architecture (or similar scale) experience.
– Passionate about design, construction & architectural detailing.
– Enthusiastic problem solvers with the ability to toggle between a detail, or big picture approach, depending on the task at hand.
– Proactive spirit, with the ability to work independently, but also ask questions and take direction when needed.
– Experience working in all phases of architectural projects, with extra value placed on CA.
– High quality verbal and written communication skills.
– Experience working with consultants including structural & civil engineers, landscape architects and interior designers.
– Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup & Adobe CS.
