Job Description SummaryThe Director, Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships is accountable for developing strategy for and establishing strategic relationships with corporate partners and securing sponsorship opportunities which enhance brand positioning and drive awareness and understanding of the Novartis Corporate Brand in support of the enterprise growth goals and reputation. The Director, Corporate Marketing Paid Media Partnerships & Sponsorships will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing corporate partnerships and sponsorships from research and strategy development to execution.

Job DescriptionMajor accountabilities:Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for partnerships and sponsorships. Leverage this knowledge to drive innovative and market-leading partnership strategies that differentiate our organization from competitors.Develop and execute comprehensive partnership and sponsorship strategies that align with our enterprise goals and objectives and are integrated with our corporate marketing efforts.Negotiate partnership and sponsorship agreements, ensuring favorable terms and maximum value for our organization. Collaborate with internal legal and finance teams to review and execute contracts, managing all aspects of the agreement lifecycle.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners and key stakeholders. Regularly communicate with partners to ensure contract compliance, address inquiries or concerns, and explore additional opportunities for collaboration and growth.Collaborate closely with internal teams, including others in Corporate Marketing, Corp Comms TA Teams, Creative Services and Video Production to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns and activations in partnership with corporate partners. Ensure campaigns drive brand awareness, engagement, and measurable results.In collaboration with the Analytics and Insights team, develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of media partnerships and sponsorship activations.Monitor campaign performance, track deliverables, and provide regular reports to key stakeholders, highlighting the value and impact of partnerships on revenue generation and brand growth.Develop and manage the corporate partnerships and sponsorships budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maximum return on investment. Regularly review and analyze budget performance, making adjustments as needed.Collaborate with the creative teams to develop compelling and persuasive messaging for paid elements of corporate marketing campaigns. Communicate placement specs and best practices.Set standards for corporate marketing partnerships and sponsorships and evaluate strategies to leverage the corporate brand for paid opportunities.Manage corporate marketing paid/sponsorship team members including delegation of tasks and resources, performance and developmentRole Requirements:Min. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.Proven experience in Partnerships and Sponsorship management, preferably in a corporate setting.Experience evaluating paid media opportunitiesStrong network within the paid media industry and a track record of securing paid partnerships and sponsorships from high-profile brand or organizationsStrategic thinking and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative partnership strategies that drive measurable behavior change and brand visibility.Relationship Management: Ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with partners, sponsors, and internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration and trust.Contract Negotiation: Advanced skills in negotiating and structuring partnership and sponsorship agreements to provide value and mitigate risks.Brand Stewardship: Expertise in maintaining and enhancing brand integrity across all partnerships and sponsorships, ensuring alignment with corporate values and messaging.Global Marketing Insight: Understanding of global markets and cultural nuances to tailor partnership and sponsorship strategies for different regions.Digital Marketing Proficiency: Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, programmatic advertising, and content marketing.Strong analytical skills to measure and track campaign performance, with proficiency in data analysis.Exceptional planning and organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
