As an Associate Managing Editor working with direction and guidance, you will follow established procedures and formats in managing, tracking, and organizing the publication of peer-reviewed manuscripts as well as writing, editing, and producing complex technical data for publications projects, such as project tracking updates, meeting summaries, technical reports, standard operating procedures, correspondence, and other technical information. Working with detailed specifications provided by supervisors and other senior staff, the Associate Managing Editor demonstrates sound judgment and initiative in performing assigned tasks, completing projects on schedule, tracking team deadlines, and exercising ingenuity and originality in daily problem-solving.What will you be engaged in day-to-day?Serving as a liaison with team members and ensuring deadlines are met.Tracking the status of articles from initial submission to publication using different tracking systems.Proofreading and checking articles to ensure they comply with project style guidelines and templates.Writing and editing correspondence to authors and peer reviewers.Collaborating with management to update, maintain, and organize project management documents.Suggesting updates to standard operating procedures as needed to maximize project efficiency.Performing other duties as assigned.Requirements

What qualifications will help you succeed?This position requires a B.S. or B.A. degree, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing project assignments and tracking deadlines for a small team.Experience in developing standard operating procedures to maximize project efficiency.Excellent written communication skills, including expert document organization ability; proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; personal computer literacy; and demonstrated competence with one or more Word processing software packages adopted as standard by IQ Solutions or clients.Proficient writing and proofreading skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and priorities.Ability to work well with others and handle day-to-day situations with an acceptable, reasonable approach.The position requires initiative, dependability, and discretion concerning proprietary information.Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.IQ Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer and an Affirmative Action Employer (M/F/Disabled/Veteran).
