What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):- Conduct needs assessments with stakeholders to determine specific GIS requirements for nutrition projects- Design initial maps and web applications for a large multi-country nutrition initiative- Develop a comprehensive GIS system architecture with shapefile templates for administrative boundaries- Coordinate with the Global MERL team to identify and integrate relevant existing data sets- Create a step-by-step implementation roadmap for the GIS system deployment and support
What is Required (Qualifications):- Proven experience in GIS system design and implementation, preferably within the NGO sector- Strong understanding of agriculture, nutrition, and WASH interventions, along with best practices for Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL)- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and data integration techniques- Excellent communication and training skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):- Experience working in multi-country projects focused on nutrition or related fields- Familiarity with data visualization techniques and tools- Previous involvement in stakeholder engagement and capacity building initiatives
