magazine has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, organized individual to assist a team of senior account managers in advertising sales & marketing.Candidate must have the capacity to work independently, have excellent computer software experience, be resourceful, a problem-solver, and be proficient in verbal and written communications.Performance Objectives & Job Responsibilities:Manage the print special advertising sections by coordinating with multiple departments including graphic design, production, and ad sales.Collecting all print advertising material from client by or before deadlinesManage schedule for client photo shoots and writers for purchased profiles or advertorialsManage daily project grid across three publicationsCreate and maintain sales boards, call schedules, and sales contest dataPrepare monthly print order with issue mailings and distribution listsAssist the Director of Sales with daily projects to support sales team initiatives.Occasionally help the marketing department with special projects and eventsAble to multi-task, prioritize and complete projects on timeMaintain and organize Magazine Manager, the companies CRM.Must have reliable punctuality and attendanceWork with sales managers to complete RFPs, proposals, contracts and program recapsProduce & maintain sales collateral materials, media kits, sell sheets, etc.Support the print and digital production teams to traffic advertising materials as needed.Successful candidates will possess the following:Client-facing skills and abilitiesCustomer service-oriented and able to interact professionally and articulately with clients over the phone, in writing and in personAble to fill-in and service basic client needs when sales managers are unavailablePresent as reliable and professional when working at magazineeventsMust seek inside knowledge and have an interest in the magazine publishing businessHave initiative and propose ideas that demonstrate creativity in client interactions.Offer new organizational processes that lead to greater department efficiencyProspect for new business opportunities and research appropriate client and advertising agency contacts for individual sales managersWork in tandem with the Director of Sales to research potential ad agency and client companies to identify key personnel, account history, fiscal year, planning cycle, target markets, advertising strategies and objectives.Education & Experience:The ideal candidate will have a college degree and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, plus familiarity with, Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign preferred.Application Process:If you are a qualified candidate and interested in this hourly position, we encourage you to apply.The preferred method for job application is to submit a cover letter and résumé to callen@lamag.comLos Angeles magazine, Orange Coast magazine, and Pasadena magazines are a division of Engine Vision Media and is based in Los Angeles.Engine Vision Media offers strong benefits including health, dental, and life insurance and a 401(k) contribution planENGINE VISION MEDIA IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERSeniority level
