OverviewFleishmanHillard is a global integrated communications agency delivering transformational outcomes for some of the world’s biggest brands. FleishmanHillard New York is looking for a passionate, innovative, art direction/design Fellow who is eager to work with some of the very best creatives in the earned media industry on a variety of accounts.

Fellows contribute to client projects while gaining practical experience in the field of integrated communications from some of the industry’s best counselors. Our ideal candidates will join us full-time 40 hours per week starting this Summer. The candidates would join us in a hybrid model of working in-person at a minimum two days per week and remote. Applicants must be in the New York area.

ResponsibilitiesYou will work under the guidance of creative directors to strategize and execute various campaigns and projects for our clients. Having strong conceptual skills and an eye for design is required for the position. You will contribute directly to our workflow, and we are interested in seeing what you bring to the table—how you create something from nothing, how you visually bring ideas to life, how your process unfolds, and what kind of results you get.

There’s no busy work here; this is a real job with real expectations and deadlines. On any given day, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Assisting with day-to-day Creative and account team needs (e.g. presentation design, concept mockups, storyboarding, animation creation, video editing, logo design, image search, etc.)

Collaborating on new, big ideas and concepts for current client work.

Qualifications

Available to start in Summer 2024, Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week working Eastern Time hours, for six months minimum.

Committed to cultivating diverse teams and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

A portfolio demonstrating a strong sense of conceptual skills, design aesthetic and typography. Please include a link to your portfolio in your resume.

Graphic Design or art background with an emphasis on visual creative.

Passion for visual, creative, graphic design, multi-media and writing.

A demonstrated passion for ethnic or cultural diversity, and experience advocating for DE&I in either the work, school, or volunteer setting.

Solid understanding of typography and layout fundamentals.

Idea-driven, always thinking of new and creative ways to solve problems.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently, but also flourish as a team player.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and has a working knowledge of Premiere.

Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word and PowerPoint.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $41,600 to $45,760 per year. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
