Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group, Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group > Product MarketingGeneral Summary:The Director, Carrier Gateway Product Marketing will own Carrier Gateway strategy across NA region, is a product expert and will work closely with NA Carrier account owners and Business Unit. He/she is responsible for managing and growing carrier revenue for the Qualcomm Connectivity and Broadband Networking business for North American Communications Companies and Carriers with particular focus on Telecom, Cable, and fixed wireless broadband companies. This role specifically involves business development for silicon and software products supporting Wi-Fi, PON, 5G/Fixed Wireless, Network Processors, Ethernet, and Bluetooth/15.4 ICs. This person will work closely with colleagues in North America and be responsible for creating the NA Carrier Business Development strategy and execution across the ecosystem including, Carriers, ISPs, and OEMs.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will build and manage relationships at all levels in the ecosystem. This includes Carrier BD/technical teams and their leadership teams. He or she will interface with product management, engineering development, procurement and supply chain teams to promote and create demand for Qualcomm products. The Director, Carrier Gateway Product Marketing will work closely with the technical and product teams in Qualcomm headquarters as well as coordinate North American activities. Key responsibilities include introducing and selling Qualcomm’s portfolio of products to Carriers, broadband ISPs, and OEM partners to secure design wins. Job responsibilities include:Evangelize Qualcomm broadband products at Carriers and ISPsDevelop a comprehensive multi-year business strategy to drive strong growthCultivate a partner eco-system to provide solutions for Carrier BroadbandDrive business strategy for NA Carriers holistically in close collaboration with BUs and direct OEM account salesManage account priorities and go-to-market strategies and drives the engagement.Identify upcoming RFPs and seed features into requirementsGather Carrier features to drive into BU product roadmap to meet Carrier and market needsMinimum Qualifications:•

Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.ORAssociate's degree or equivalent degree and 10+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.ORHigh school Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.Skills/ExperienceThe Director, Carrier Gateway Product Marketing must have extensive experience and contacts with North American Carriers & broadband ISPs as well as developing relationships at large, complex organizations globally. Ideally broadband internet Product / Engineering background in addition to strong business development skillsExperience with the networking Customer Premise Equipment ecosystem and understanding of the big picture for broadband internet servicesDemonstrated ability to shape customer requirements and positioning solutions to capture the opportunityStrategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customersDemonstrated ability to build and carry out a strategic plan with operational efficiency by setting strong goals and milestones for technical execution and financial metricsExperience in design win and region sell-through partnerships with CPE OEMs. Demonstrated experience in shaping the requirement with end customerExpert technical understanding and hands-on experience in broadband CPE industry including being first point of contact for technical and product issuesProficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketingExperience in negotiating and managing NDAs and component pricing with large customersSelf-starter with the ability to build a network within the organization and to manage deadlines / priorities with limited guidanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel as neededPay range:

$181,000.00 - $272,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
