Our pipeline is promising with several Phase 3 assets in the Oncology space.Role SummaryThe Sr. Director, Product and Pipeline Communications will lead the Servier Pharmaceuticals Oncology product and pipeline communication strategy with the aim of educating on the promise of Servier’s portfolio, the potential of its pipeline and by extension enhancing the image, reputation and awareness of Servier in the U.S. They will direct the creation and implementation of strategies across internal and external communications channels and vehicles with the support of a Boston based team. Furthermore, this position will ensure consistent messaging internally and externally to achieve overall Global Company objectives. This role reports to the Head of Corporate Affairs and interacts with many external parties, including KOLs, current and potential partners. This role will be a part of the Corporate Affairs leadership team and will act as an enterprise leader for the full US Corporate Affairs team.Primary ResponsibilitiesLeads the development and implementation of strategic communication plans for Oncology products and pipeline which includes programming and strategic planning for pre-launch and launch products, inclusive of disease-awareness campaigns - that reflects the organization’s business objectives.Responsible for ensuring differentiation of Servier’s Oncology initiatives.Develops and implements a strong, positive news flow – including digital, print and social.Manage budget, programs, consultants, deliverables & measurement.Works closely with Marketing, Medical, Sales and Patient Engagement to secure an integrated approach.Leverage the support from other key departments of the Global Communications and Public Affairs organizations.Lead and be responsible for communication activities when issues and/or crises arise.Identify, recruit, hire, develop and retain talent on their team.Education and Required Skills12+ years of professional experience driving communication strategies.Healthcare product and pipeline experience. Robust experience in driving communications at mid-size global company preferred.Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with companies working across geographies; solid understanding of corporate governance.Strong academic background in communications/business/journalism.Strategic business partner with the ability to translate business information as well as R&D processes/activities into language that employees and customers can understand.Ability to effectively and concisely deliver information, and explain, advocate and negotiate positions and issues to a broad spectrum of individuals required.Strong experience within the pharmaceutical sector, especially in Biotech Companies, ideally in the field of oncology.Solid understanding of the regulatory restrictions of biopharmaceuticals promotion.Well balanced competencies between strategic and operational matters; experience in advising senior executives and working on strategic topics and issues management.Team leader and team player, interfacing smoothly with communication colleagues – able to work in a complex and fast pace matrix organization.Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) with outstanding writing and presentation skills.Understanding and good command of digitalization of communications.At ease in multi-tasking with high degree of quality and fast delivery.Travel and LocationBoston based hybrid position requires in office presence 2-3 days a week.Servier’s CommitmentServier is committed to modeling diversity, equity, and inclusion within the industry.
