SUMMARY:TRABUS is looking for a Radio Frequency Engineer II to conduct systems/system of systems (SoS) architecture design, testing, implementation, integration, review, and certification activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct data analyses, to include interpreting and summarizing results.

Design, develop, test, evaluate, and sustain various Radio Frequency (RF) and Tactical Data Link (TDL) communication systems.

Develop technical documentation such as test plans and reports.

Apply a full range of disciplines pertinent to communication systems capabilities such as requirements analysis, systems engineering, interface design, logistics, training, reliability and maintainability, human factors, and T&E to complete assigned duties.

Leverage principles such as communications theory, modulation systems, engineering design, testing, and system level communications (e.g. link budgets and modulation schemes and end-to-end RF product development) to complete assigned duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

3 years professional experience with radio frequency engineering.

Knowledge of RF devices and/or systems.

Knowledge of electronic test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Amplifiers, and other Radio Frequency components.

Knowledge of RF Communications systems engineering and/or integration.

Ability to develop/document/implement new processes.

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.

Detail oriented.

QUALIFICATIONS:

3 years of experience (within past 7 years) in the following:

Demonstrated Test and Evaluation (T&E) experience supporting programs and projects through the various acquisition milestones and testing phases (designing, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting).

Demonstrated Test and Evaluation (T&E) experience preparing, maintaining, updating and reviewing the full range of test and test-related documentation for adequacy, specification/performance requirements compliance, conformity with mandatory guidance.

5 years of experience (within past 10 years) in the following:

Experience with open architecture constructs like Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA); Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C5ISR)/Electronic Warfare Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS); Open Mission Systems (OMS), Open Communication Standard (OCS); utilizing the Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI).

Experience with LPD (Low Probability of Detection) and LPI (Low Probability of Intercept) waveforms and anti-jam capabilities communication capabilities.

EDUCATION:

M.S. in Electrical Engineering (emphasis in RF Signal Processing).

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
