JOB SUMMARY

The Recruitment and Content Manager (Program Manager I) serves as an integral member of the Morrison Family College of Health (MFCOH) team, focused on graduate student recruitment and the creation and execution of strategic communication and digital engagement strategies that drive enrollment in our graduate counseling psychology, nursing, social work, and future graduate programs. The focus of this position is in supporting the Director of Graduate Recruitment, Enrollment and Engagement on executing efforts that enhance the quality and quantity of applicant pools for MFCOH graduate programs.

Reporting to the Director of Graduate Recruitment, Enrollment and Engagement of the Morrison Family College of Health, and working closely with members of the Marketing, Insights and Communications (MIC) team and centralized enrollment office, the Recruitment and Content Manager will contribute to the collaborative development and execution of creative messaging and digital content for a variety of platforms, including but not limited to, mass emails and drip campaigns, information sessions, recruitment events, SMS text messages, social media, websites, and videos designed to engage external audiences, including prospective students, their families and the broader health community. This role will require strong interpersonal skills, creativity and “out of the box” thinking, a high degree of cultural competency, and advanced written, oral, and visual communication skills.

This individual will work closely with members of the Morrison Family College of Health leadership team, the Marketing, Insights and Communications team, program faculty, program coordinators, program managers, the admissions office, and other university entities, as necessary, to develop and deploy creative communications that support the recruitment of diverse students to St. Thomas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Under the supervision of the Director of Graduate Student Recruitment, Enrollment and Engagement:

Recruitment Strategic Planning & Marketing

Collaborates with internal and external strategic partners (including MIC, academic faculty and directors, campus partners, etc.) to support the development and execution of the strategic marketing plans for graduate programs and the MFCOH

Collaborates closely with key stakeholders to execute differentiated messaging campaigns for graduate programs and college strategic goals

Supports the execution of recommended changes or adjustments to marketing and recruitment plans as needed

Recruitment Plan Execution

Serves as a liaison to assigned units/departments to support graduate student recruitment and ensure that information about MFCOH graduate programs is strategically positioned to meet goals

Provides support to advertising and visibility campaigns for all marketing vehicles including outdoor, digital/social, web, print and radio

Contributes to the development of creative materials, media strategy and media planning

Facilitates and provides direct support to recruitment efforts that engage a diverse potential student body

Supports the organization of sponsorship opportunities and attends conferences for recruitment support as able

Creates and manages content, messaging, workflows, recruitment events, and reports within Salesforce and Marketing Cloud

Prospective Student Communications and Strategic Marketing

Under the oversight of the supervisor for this position and MIC, provides support to several functions:

Maintains a clear, compelling, and user-friendly website focused on prospective graduate students

Updates the MFCOH website using content management system (CMS) Cascade as needed

Creates content for MFCOH social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) and executes content strategy by managing social media calendar via our social media management platform, Hootsuite

Supports the writing or creation of updated content for recruitment and lead nurturing and other strategic communications

Executes email automation strategies that support recruitment and the personalized outreach being done by program directors/coordinators

Supports the development and execution of mass email and text message campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud using graphics, personalization and dynamic content

Ensures communications are aligned with user preferences, follow brand tone and voice and leverage industry best practices

Leverage performance metrics for continuous improvements

Supports community and stakeholder engagement, as directed, to grow the impact of the MFCOH

Provides support to University Advancement and MIC on the development of donor and fundraising materials

Provides support to internal communication functions as needed and directed by the Director of Graduate Student Recruitment, Enrollment and Engagement

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field

Three years of experience related to higher education recruitment, enrollment management, marketing, communications, community engagement, and/or related experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.
