You’ll be working alongside a fast-paced team of diverse and dedicated individuals who are passionate about the guest experience.Senior Director of Sales & MarketingThe Senior Director of Sales & Marketing will oversee the overall strategic direction for the sales office and will lead and manage all day-to-day activities with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of property sales objectives. The position has direct oversight of the entire Sales team and will report to the General Manager.Responsibilities:Lead the Hutton Brickyards Sales team by developing and executing strategic initiatives during sales meetings, while utilizing & executing weekly & monthly sales reporting.Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.Be an active and focal participant in owner’s meetings and P&L reviews.Maximize top line revenue by directing sales team to acquire profitable business. Collaborate with General Manager to evaluate business when further analysis is needed.Execute strategies for retreat group business including but not exclusive to corporate, wellness, writers and yoga retreats.Ensure wedding, social and public events are profitable and booked within stated standard operating procedures. Hold sales team members accountable for achieving sales production and sales activity goals.Monitor competitors to determine relevant changes that may affect Hutton Brickyards and react as needed to ensure property remains competitive.Ability to think strategically, problem-solve, and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.Collaborate with external partners and affiliates to maximize the scope and reach of every business lead and event.Monitor transient selling rates and work hand in hand with revenue management to make strategic decisions for guest rooms.Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals, writing contracts, customer correspondence, etc.)Analyze market information and implement strategy to achieve property’s financial goals.Interact with guests to obtain feedback and review guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement.Assist with the development and mentoring of both internal and external members of the sales team.Collaborate with marketing team as needed to ensure sales strategies align with marketing strategies.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.Solid leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a drive to exceed expectations.Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as the ability to establish rapport with both new and existing clients.Solid organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.Proven lead-generation and closing skills.
