The Director of Internal Communications plays a critical role in enhancing the employee experience, driving organizational culture, and aligning communication efforts with the broader strategic objectives of Care New England.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and implement a strategic internal communications plan that supports the company's strategic vision, goals, and objectives.Drive communications to align with a strategic vision for the organization, ensuring seamless communication across operating units.Create and lead a high-performing team of internal communications professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.Partner with the Labor Relations team to create and execute a comprehensive communication strategy supporting labor and employee relations.Establish and maintain multiple channels for the distribution of internal messaging to reach a diverse workforce.Create methods for bi-directional information sharing and feedback loops.Understand and consider the needs of the physician community and execute effective communication strategies.Manage a wide-ranging portfolio of Internal Communications initiatives, projects, and events.Interact with team members at all levels to understand their needs and feelings about organizational initiatives.Mine sources for exceptional stories that express the essence of CNE.Manage the development and management of the Employee App and coordinate with relevant teams.Listen and gain consensus in sensitive situations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling content that informs and engages employees.Oversee the development of an internal employee communications portal or Intranet.Drive continuous improvement in communication processes and practices.Interact frequently with internal and external customers and vendors in problem resolution and crisis management.Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on internal communication matters.Partner with the CEO to communicate his vision and provide necessary materials.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in internal communications.Healthcare experience is highly preferred, along with exposure to labor relations.Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate high-performing teams.Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence outcomes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and best practices in internal communications.Demonstrated project management skills.Care New England Health System (CNE) and its member institutions are trusted organizations fueling the latest advances in medical research and innovative programs to engage in important health discussions.Americans with Disability Act Statement: External and internal applicants must be able to perform essential job functions either unaided or with reasonable accommodation.EEOC Statement: Care New England is an equal opportunity employer.Ethics Statement: Employees must conduct themselves consistent with the ethical standards of the organization.
