If you're nodding your head and feeling that spark of excitement, then you might be just the person we're looking for!About the Role:As the Director of Marketing at Seattle Children’s Theatre (SCT), you’ll be the driving force behind our public-facing initiatives, from our captivating Mainstage productions to our dynamic education programs. You’ll lead our talented Sales, Communications, and Marketing teams on a mission to engage, inspire, and educate our audiences—all while ensuring SCT shines brightly in the Seattle arts scene.Your responsibilities will range from project management to creating sales strategies to building a brand that resonates with kids, parents, educators, and theatre lovers alike. You’ll also play a key role in driving ticket sales, boosting community engagement, and making sure our theatre is the talk of the town (in the best way possible, of course).But that’s not all—you’ll be a key player in SCT’s leadership team, where your ideas and insights will help shape the future of our beloved theatre. Develop and oversee an amazing communication strategy that gets people talking and keeps SCT top of mind in the community.Lead with Vision:

Manage our amazing Marketing and Communications team, guiding them to greatness with your expertise and creative flair.Build Our Brand:

Make SCT a household name by developing strategies that resonate with our diverse audience, from kids to educators to theatre buffs.Drive Revenue:

Help us pack the house by creating and executing marketing campaigns that boost ticket sales and support our education and engagement programs.Collaborate Like a Pro:

Work closely with our Education & Engagement and Fundraising teams to ensure we’re all rowing in the same direction—and reaching our goals together.Be the Trendsetter:

Stay ahead of the curve on digital strategies, local trends, and what’s happening in the theatre world.What We’re Looking For:A marketing guru with 5+ years in a senior role, ideally in the nonprofit or arts sector. A passion for theatre, young people, and making a difference in the community.Experience managing budgets and developing creative marketing campaigns.A knack for storytelling and an eye for design—whether it’s digital, print, or something totally out-of-the-box.An understanding of the Seattle arts scene (or a desire to dive right in!).A flexible, creative, and collaborative approach to work—and a great sense of humor doesn’t hurt!A project manager who can respond to rapidly changing priorities and organizational needs.A seasoned leader with the confidence to inspire and advocate for a team with a range of experience and interests.Willingness to learn or experience with Tessitura or other CRM platforms.Commitment to equity and inclusion in your work.Why You’ll Love Working Here:A Creative Playground:

$89,029 annually.The chance to work in a vibrant, creative environment where your ideas and passion can flourish.The opportunity to be part of a legacy that’s been shaping young minds and hearts through theatre for nearly 50 years.Benefits:Regular Full-Time employees receive employer paid premiums on these insurance plans: Health Insurance through Kaiser Permanente, Dental Insurance through Delta Dental, and Vision insurance through VSP.Full-time employees are eligible for paid holiday benefits.Director-level employees accrue 120 hours of Vacation-Time annually and add 16 hours every 2 years, up to a maximum of 160 hours annually.Regular Full-time employees accrue 96 hours (12 days) of paid sick time per year.Regular, Full-time employees start accruing 80 hours of Vacation-Time annually and add 16 hours, every 2 years, up to a maximum of 160 hours annually.Regular, Full-time employees accrue 96 hours (12 days) of sick-time per year at the rate of 3.692 hours per pay period. Employees begin accruing PTO on their first day of employment. Accrued hours are available for use after three (3) months of continuous employment. Regular, Full-Time employees are able to carry up to 180 hours of Sick-Time into the next fiscal year.Seattle Children’s Theatre offers employees the opportunity to participate in a 403(b) plan in order to save a portion of their earnings on a pre-tax basis.Seattle Children’s Theatre employees may enroll in a Flexible Spending Account to save on a pre-tax basis for both health and dependent care expenses to the extent currently permitted by the Internal Revenue Service.Seattle Children's Theatre offers employees the option of purchasing an array of additional insurance coverage through AFLAC.SCT offers discount parking through Seattle Center.SCT offers discounted public transportation enrollment through ORCA Passport.Ready to make your mark at SCT?
