CDA is looking to hire a

Senior AV Designer

to join our team in Wayland, MA. This is a remote or hybrid position. You will be interfacing with enterprise clients and must convey/have/present accuracy in system design, budgeting, and program development. Experience within the construction industry and familiarity with AIA standards of practice are required. Ideal candidates will possess excellent planning and organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and solid proficiency in implementing best practices in AV system design.Specific Duties Include (but not limited to):

Design AV, UC, Broadcast, Production, and Postproduction systems utilizing current technologies including network audio and video endpoints, AVoverIP, video conferencing, soft codecs, appliances, audio DSPs, microphones, video cameras, amplifiers, speakers, control systems, displays, network switches, and more.Produce design concepts, programs, budgets, reports; AV and control signal flow sketches; redline architectural drawings; and provide accurate microphone and speaker layouts, display layouts (monitor, projector, LED video wall); display mount details; and be confident with Division 27 and 11 specifications.Provide overall management, ownership, and responsibility for projects on which you are the Design Lead.Manage project design budgets, track resource allocations, and manage time in coordination with Technical Operations to meet project deadlines, monitor and track project activities, and ensure overall project success.Interface and consult with clients, present to clients and project team members on design concepts and matters related to projects under your management.Coordinate with all members of the project team in all phases from design through checkout and turnover.Participate in design collaboration, peer reviews, and Quality Control.Provide direction to support staff on system design, documentation production, editing, and delivery of projects under your management.Participate in job site inspections and attend project meetings.Participate in project checkout and development of punch list, closeout, customer sign-off, and reporting.Further your knowledge of AV products, integration, and trends through vendor communications and self-learning.Qualifications and Work Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree.Engineering or technical service experience in the Commercial A/V Industry.Comprehension of architectural, electrical, and telecom drawings, system drawings, and specifications.Avixa CTS-D certification strongly desired but not required.Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, MS Office/Teams, and Acrobat required; Revit experience a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort working with numerous architects, engineers, and construction teams are a must.Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.Periodic travel may be required.Work Location
