Head Designer Women’s Day to Evening Dress 150-200kWork between Mid-town Manhattan and Secaucus NJOur client is an established womenswear company looking for a Head Designer with an upbeat personality for their Women’s Day to Evening Dress line. The candidate must have experience in a first-time role and be able to design and execute Women’s Dresses.Responsibilities:

Functions as a creative lead of the Women’s Dress team.Responsible for concept, design, presentation boards, and line sheets.Completes the design process from concept to production sample, sits in fittings, approves fit, and lab dips.Selects colors, fabrics, trims, body styles, and graphic applications.Researches global market trends.Sketches style specifics & details, following a SKU plan.Designs into a SKU plan and merchandises each collection delivery.Fully responsible for line development from concept to production.Adheres to strict project deadlines in accordance with design/production calendar.Candidate needs to have extensive experience in branded dresses.This role reports to the Director of Design & Merchandising.Candidate is required to create their own tech packs but will have help at crunch time.Must be a hands-on, upbeat team player.Must have experience in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
