NoPosition Purpose:

The Assistant Athletics Director of Video & Creative Strategy will execute the comprehensive visual storytelling of Dartmouth College Athletics and Recreation Department (DCARD). Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Media Strategy and Brand Advancement, this position will play a critical role in capturing, creating and producing visual/video assets that tell the stories of Dartmouth Athletics to further the recruitment of prospective student-athletes, enhance fan engagement, promote DCARD competitions, and illustrate Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Athletics’ distinctions within the Ivy League. This position will have a heavy emphasis placed on high-quality video storytelling and other visual content for DCARD. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in creative content production, cinematic video content, digital media, and team management.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in sport marketing, sport management, athletic administration, communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.6 or more years' experience or combination of education and experience.Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) and other content creation tools.Exceptional storytelling and visual communication skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.Strong understanding of sports and the ability to anticipate and capture key moments.Proven experience in leading and managing a creative team.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to cover athletic events.Preferred Qualifications:1-2 years of supervisory or management experience.Two or more years of experience with an NCAA college athletic program.Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations as they pertain to content and communications.Knowledge of NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations.Responsibilities:Develop and implement a 12-month comprehensive creative storytelling strategy, highlighted with effective video, that aligns with the overall goals and brand of the Athletics Department.Direct the creation and execution of multimedia content, including graphics, videos, photography for social media, websites, and other digital platforms.Create a wide array of videos including highlight/interview packages, behind-the-scenes features, student-athlete profiles, long-form stories, social media content, and other departmental videos.Video storytelling and crafting compelling narratives through multimedia.Educate, train, and manage coaches, staff, and student-athletes on the Digital Asset Management platform.Coordinate the timeline, production, and execution of content for game day coverage, promotional campaigns, special events, and athlete features.Develop and produce high-quality, cinematic video content for promotional and marketing purposes.Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure innovative and effective content.Produce engaging multimedia content to promote Dartmouth Athletics across various platforms.Record and capture content of Dartmouth College athletic events.Conduct interviews with athletes, coaches, and staff to create in-depth features and promotional videos.Ensure all content is high-quality, brand-consistent, and delivered on time.Edit multimedia content to create polished, professional, and visually appealing content.Plan and execute individual team multimedia shoots and the distribution and archiving of all digital assets.Budget & Resource Management:Manage the creative content budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.Maintain and operate camera and audio equipment.Stay informed about advancements in video technology and recommend equipment upgrades.Equal Opportunity Employer:
